Principal's Desk:

It is indeed an honor for me to be the principal of Adivasi Seva Samiti's, Arts, Commerce & Science College, Manur, and Surrounding Region has been declared a 'Tribal sub-plan area ' by the government of India and Maharashtra. It is certainly a matter of pride to state that our college holds the distinction of being the only institution providing Higher Education to the tribal students in the surrounding region. The college was established in June 2013 to serve education to the poor and needy students, particularly with rural & tribal backgrounds. It is run by Adivasi Seva Samittee - one of the renowned educational institutes founded by Hon. Late. Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray-staunch freedom fighter, one of the pioneers of Maharashtra State. Presently Adivasi Seva Samittee is progressing under the leadership of Hon. Secretary Dr. Prashantdada Hiray and Hon. Dr. Apoorva Hiray, Hon. Joint Secretary Shri Rajeshji Shinde, and all Management Representatives According to the motto of Adivasi Seva Samittee "Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay" our college has been kept open to all respective of caste, creed, and religion.

Today’s age is an age of problems and challenges It is also an age of cutthroat competition and students have so many responsibilities as well as expectations to be fulfilled. Students who belong to the Tribal community have to compete with their urban counterparts who are easily exposed to better educational facilities. These students are educationally and economically deprived. Therefore, we are determined to make these students competent enough so that they can face the challenges of the 21st Century. We are sincerely and devotedly trying to motivate these deprived students with competitive spirit and confidence. We are trying to give them an opportunity and an environment that is inspiring and stimulating.

The college uses education as a tool for empowering students coming from adverse and poor socio-economic classes. Apart from the regular academic activities, various extra-curricular activities are conducted in the college. The college organizes seminars, cleaning camping, Samarth Bharat Abhiyan, which help in creating social awareness among students. Our N.S.S. unit has been one of the assets of our college promoting the spirit of social service among students.

Our ultimate aim is to make our students responsible citizens of our country. So, we are trying to instil in every student a sense of virtue and wisdom, sensitivity to the needs and problems of others. This is the true spirit of education. All the teaching and non-teaching staff members are honestly working for the overall development of the college. I am sure that with their support and co-operation we will be able to achieve our goals.
